Earning Money

There are three ways to earn on SimToCircuit: race for prize money, coach other drivers, or officiate races as a steward. Some drivers make meaningful income. Most don't. It depends on performance, commitment, and skill.

01

Race for Prize Money

Place first in heat 1 or top 3 in 2-4 to earn prize money. Higher heats = bigger prizes.

Heat 1$25 to 1st place
Heat 2$50 / $35 / $20 (1st / 2nd / 3rd)
Heat 3$200 / $125 / $75 (1st / 2nd / 3rd)
Heat 4$2,000 / $1,000 / $500 (1st / 2nd / 3rd)

Reality: most drivers never reach Heat 3. Consistent Heat 1/2 racers earn $50–200/month if they're good. Racing subscription ($10/month) required.

02

Coach Other Drivers

Get verified as a coach, set your own hourly rate, and earn from each session. Coaches keep 88% of every booking — SimToCircuit takes 12%.

Typical range: $25–100/hour. Example: coach 4 students per week at $50/hour = $800/month.

Reality: you need a good reputation, consistent bookings, and students who value your teaching. Starting is slow. Base subscription ($5/month) required.

03

Officiate as a Steward

Claim steward slots for upcoming races, monitor them live, and earn per race based on heat and tier.

Tier 0–1$5/race (Heat 1 only)
Tier 2$5/race (Heat 1), $15/race (Heat 2)
Tier 3$5 / $15 / $25 / $50 per race (Heats 1–4)

Tier 3 stewards can manage multiple races simultaneously — up to 5 Heat 1, 2 Heat 2, 1 Heat 3 or 4 races at a time. Stewardship offers the most stable, scalable income for committed individuals.

Requirements: Racing subscription, 5+ heat races completed, clean record, pass competency test, and being in good standing with SimToCircuit.

04

How Payouts Work

Racing winnings

Credited after steward certification (within 24 hours). Paid monthly via Stripe.

Coaching income

Collected from student at booking. Held until session completes. Paid monthly.

Stewardship income

Accumulated per race. Paid monthly.

All payouts require an active Stripe Connect account. Processed around the 1st of each month. You are responsible for taxes — earnings are treated like 1099 self-employment income.

05

The Reality

Most people use SimToCircuit to improve and race. Making money is secondary. The real value is accelerating your improvement, building your reputation, and creating opportunities — coaching, sponsorships, real racing pathways.

Focus on improving. Money follows reputation, not the other way around.
